There are a few extensions I've used in this wiki
- I've written a few to help pages flow about more effectively
- what's been going on (popular, recently edited pages) - just type <poppages> in a page
- related pages based on click traffic - bottom of each page
- personal recommendations, also based on click traffic - bottom of each user page
- simple included external images
- html5 tag for videos, sound etc
There are lots of other things you can integrate
- calendars
- comments
- rating systems
- RSVP's
- maps
- whatever you like
The point is, its very adaptable.
