Nearby Quimperlé is blessed with some great restaurants to try out. Here are a few ... |
- La Cigale Egarée, a very gastronomic menu in a beautiful place - don't be fooled by its location in a business park!
- Ty Billig Crêperie, crêpes with celtic music next to the church in the high town.
- L'Assiette de L'Isole is informal and unpretentious, but concentrates on the food.
- La Bistro de la Tour, another fantastic restaurant that serves "naughty refined cuisine" with a focus on the wine!
- La Tête de Lard, a well regarded restaurant for the slightly more adventurous.

Further south, on the coast, there is Chez Jacky at the Port de Bélon, famous for its oysters and fruits de mer. Or try the amazing restaurant in the Hotel on the quayside at Port du Pouldu, where you can have the menu du jour based on today's catch in the excellently French bar or the slightly posh dining room. It's like something from a film.

In the other direction, the Manoir du Menec on the way to Bannalec and the Auberge de Kerizac just north of Lanvénégen both produce great food with an emphasis on terroir. Or, for that perfect French treat, check out the L'Art Gourmand in Pont-Scorff - unassuming and yet amazing. Ooh là là.
And this is just to wet your appetite ... there are all types of cuisine around here, some more swanky and some more humble, but it's all very good. If it's good value you're after, just keep an eye out for the collections of vans at lunchtime!
